Meeting at First North American Critical Psychology Conference August 2001 Monterey Bay, California

The Monterey Bay Critical Psychology Conference was a great success! Over a dozen RadPsyNet members joined another 50 or so critical psychology students, teachers, and practitioners in California at the first critical psychology conference held in North America.

Those of us who attended enjoyed the beautiful oceanside park setting and the opportunity for extended reflection on, and discussion of, many issues facing critical psychologists. The four days allowed ample opportunity to build links among like-minded folks through formal and informal interactions.

The conference ended with a variety of action plans and a renewed commitment to expand the work of critical psychologists in general and RadPsyNet in particular. We'll soon post a more detailed summary.
